Capsule needed a collection of side and coffee tables to add to its formidable line of well-made and well-priced sofas. My approach was to use powder-coated, laser-cut steel to allow us to create a product with a light visual footprint that would be great for small, urban spaces. Through cleverly hidden mechanical connections we were able to ship small and flat, reducing cost and damage rates. The organic silhouettes of river rocks were referenced to keep the steel soft and inviting.
